Redesign Chicago’s Navy Pier: James Corner Field Operations Wins Competition
Chicago’s Navy Pier to get a green revamp with hanging gardens and eco delights. A team of designers led by James Corner Field Operations won the rights to the redesign and reorganization of Navy Pier emblematic of the city of Chicago. The new plan will further increase the influx of tourists from the dock of the Marina and popular calls for a luxury pool will face an ice skating ring in winter and a sandy beach area that will help you a lot more pleasure. But this is not the final review.
The new park with a Ferris wheel up will ensure that you have a peaceful vision of Chicago, while the hanging gardens that add a touch of green to the whole project. Not only the hanging gardens, but the team is the reorganization of field in a way that can act as a breeding ground for some of the rich fauna of the surroundings. Raised seating allows visitors to get the best possible views while the presentation of project operations on the corner lot of James was not flashy or which took over most of the characteristics of ecosystems, is that could be worked into the budget constraints of the city.

The project was completed in 2016 and will be time for the centenary celebrations of the Navy Pier. I could not have been responsible for green concerts, but the hanging gardens should help the city to reduce carbon emissions in the air and also to encourage other structures in town for a ride to cleaner technologies. So while keeping an eye on the progress of work at the Navy Pier, we hope that future updates, including integration of alternative energy sources to help the city reduce dependence on the grid. Sunroofs would be a good way to start.
